2004: If you local screenwriters don't know about StoryBoard, you're missing a great group and an invaluable education. In May, Blair was pleased to hold a development seminar for the talented winners of the Hartley-Merrill International Screenwriting Prize, after judging this fine contest for them again in April.
Founded by RKO Pictures chairman Ted Hartley and RKO vice-chair, actress Dina Merrill in conjunction with the WGA, Robert Redford, Nikita Mikhalkov and David Puttnam, among others, the contest is designed to help screenwriters outside the United States learn how to refine their scripts "American-style." First prize was $10 000 in cash for the winning writer.

Congratulations to the Hollywood Black Film Festival Storyteller Contest Winners!  Blair joined producers Ann Carli (CROSSROADS) and Gary Goldstein (PRETTY WOMAN) at a roundtable in June to offer advice, tips and insight for the winners to apply to their careers.

In August, the Selling to Hollywood Screenwriters Conference hosted Blair Richwood's popular workshop: "Taking The Meeting" and her personal pitch coaching sessions -- both big hits.  The American Screenwriters Association (ASA) is an international group for new screenwriters based in Ohio .

In May, Blair's HOW TO "DO NOTES" WORKSHOP for New CEs and Assistants on the Rise left everyone better informed, more confidant, with smart tools and new connections for careers in development.  More details at Private Workshops.

Ms. Richwood has performed roles in 31 stage plays, musicals, commercials and features, and brings that inside understanding to your characters.
FREELANCE EDITOR
Outside of her executive duties, Ms. Richwood had been engaged to revise screenplays, plays and TV projects, edit treatments, draft speeches, write contest applications, and co-write screen stories before launching Richwood Script & Media.
COSTUME DESIGNER
Over a fourteen year period, Blair Richwood designed and/or produced costumes for over 50 stage and video productions, ranging in size from OKLAHOMA!, MUSIC MAN and ALLEGRO! to THE SERPENT and DIARY OF ANNE FRANK.  She's worked for many theaters in California, Wisconsin, Oregon and Massachusetts, including The Fountainhead, Nosotros, North Shore Music Theater, LACC Theater Academy, Pasadena CLO, and the Shrine Auditorium.  From 1978 - 1981 Ms. Richwood was on the staff at Beverly Hills High School as the Theatre Arts Department Costumer for John Ingle and Joel Pressman, leading workshops in design and production as well as costuming their acclaimed musicals, plays and dance recitals.

Blair Richwood was raised in Burbank, California, in an industry family: grandfather Phil Leslie was a TV and radio writer (beloved for "Fibber McGee & Molly"); father Frank is an award-winning artist, retired Art Director and voting member of the Academy; mother Patricia was a WB development executive but now writes her own novels; brother Patrick is an award-winning actor seen on in films, on TV and on stage; and sister Laura is a prize-winning artist.
